Prequel

Born in Dubai, UAE and after moving to the United States from Pakistan at the age of 3, Zuhair has spent all of his life in Virginia. He attended private school at Ivy League Academy and Kempsville Middle school during his time in Virginia Beach. In 2007 he moved to Richmond, VA where he attended Deep Run High School. It was during this time that the story of Zuhair's career began. 

The Spark

As a child, Zuhair had a fascination for camcorders, cameras, and his Polaroid. During freshman year, he attended a basic photography class, followed by a video class. After this experience, Zuhair started practicing photography and videography in his free time. After years of shooting with borrowed equipment, he purchased his first DSLR and began shooting weddings, parties, events, etc. Through this experience Zuhair decided he could see himself doing photography as a long term career.

College Life

In 2011, Zuhair enrolled in the Art Institute of Virginia Beach (AI) and moved back to his home town to pursue his Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Photographic Imaging. During his time there, he became very involved with what the school had to offer, and AI became his second home. He experimented with various genres, but didn't find his true passion was until more than halfway through the program. Although he possess a vast skill set in many multimedia fields, Zuhair is specializing in structure and architectural photography and is pursuing his career within that field. 

Community Involvement

From a young age, Zuhair has volunteered his skills in many organizations, especially within high school, college, and his religious community. Zuhair has also been tasked with various leadership positions within a short amount of times. Since he was thirteen years old, he has been an active uniformed volunteer for the Richmond Ismaili Volunteer Corps. Zuhair has been tasked with various events that involved his skills in photography, video, and as an audio technician that has had a very large attendance. In high school Zuhair was part of the photography club, but was also director of the Channel 7 News. In college he became the photographer for the Design Club, a co-admin for the photography web community, along with the Vice President of the Student Ambassadors. His positions have put him on various scenarios from just photographing an event such as graduations or open houses, to being the project manager and organizing large events for his community.
